Adams Morgan Farmers Market
Our market stand is closed for the season.
Winter online COD order status: people who were on our Farmer’s Market email list are welcome to order online, COD. Others should contact Randy for more information.
History
The farmers market at the corner of 18th St. & Columbia Road NW in Adams Morgan (Washington, DC) has been operating since 1973. Until about 1970 the corner was home to the Ambassador Theater. Jimi Hendrix played a three-night gig there in 1967 — right where we sell zucchini all summer! — and a rally was held for the March on the Pentagon the same year. Before that, it was the Knickerbocker Theater where, in the 1930s on a snowy winter Saturday, hundreds of folks were watching a movie when the roof collapsed from the weight of snow.
Vendors
The cast of vendors at the market has changed over the 30-plus years since it was started, but for the last 10 years has included two vegetable stands and a flower stand. Both of the vegetable stands are from adjacent southern Pennsylvania counties.

Each of the farmers at the Adams Morgan Farmers Market has a slightly different schedule. Our stand runs seven months of the year, from the beginning of May until the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We are there for all holidays during our market season. Our stand is open from 9 AM until a bit after noon.
