More about Star Hollow Farm
Star Hollow Farm is a small-scale family vegetable farm located in southern Pennsylvania, almost exactly 100 miles north of Washington, DC. We grow a wide range of produce, mostly in small quantities, on about 10 acres of ground.

In addition to crops we have a flock of 125 laying hens that spend their days wandering a quarter-acre pasture, eating green things, scratching for bugs and worms, taking dust baths, living the traditional chicken life. At night they are sheltered in a cage-free house to protect them from the wild things.

We try to farm in a manner that enriches and conserves the soil, produces healthy, attractive produce, and is safe for you and us. We apply no pesticides if we can help it, natural ones if they have proven effectual and something is needed, and others if we need to save the crop. Attempting to grow everything pesticide-free is not sustainable for small farms if it means losing the crop.
More than half our produce is sold over the Internet in our online CSA Farm Store, and the rest goes to our farmers market stand. Both are located in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, DC. We offer local produce from our farm and other small vegetable farms in the area; tree fruit from several nearby orchards; and depending on the season, additional items such as cheese, honey, cider and preserves from farm families in the area.
